Abstract

Medicine and medical ethics are inherently interconnected. As healthcare continues to evolve through advances in technology, artificial intelligence, and precision medicine, ethical considerations surrounding patient autonomy, dignity, equity, and professional responsibility become increasingly important. This editorial emphasizes the need to integrate ethical reasoning into clinical practice, research, education, and healthcare policy. It also introduces the vision of the Annals of Medicine and Medical Ethics as a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue and scholarship that is scientifically rigorous, ethically informed, and socially relevant. By bringing medicine and ethics together, the journal aims to promote a more humane, trustworthy, and responsible healthcare system.
